Our Impact

The Tanera project exists to regenerate, restore and encourage resilience. As the project evolves, the way we meet this purpose will evolve with it. We will, however, remain focussed across the same three core values.

Our impact

Regeneration

The Tanera Project acts as a focal point and catalyst for community regeneration  in the Western Highlands.

Resilience

Tanera is a space for people in public service to address their holistic wellbeing, build resilience against stress and burnout, helping them on their path to wholeness.

Restoration

By balancing nature, heritage and productive land management we are transforming our habitats and encouraging abundance in the face of our changing climate.

Regeneration

Acting as a focal point and catalyst for community regeneration in the Western Highlands.

Resilience

Delivering resilience building experiences for members of public service groups chosen by our partner charities.

Restoration

Restoring and protecting the island’s freshwater and marine ecosystems, as well as its wetlands, woodlands and ex-agricultural land.

Theory of Change

Transformative change is created through shared outcomes, not isolated actions.

By engaging those who live, work, and collaborate with us, we ensure our interventions are relevant, inclusive, and responsive to local needs.

Their insights shape our priorities, strengthen accountability, and help us deliver meaningful, lasting social, economic, and environmental impact.
